Core of the Word / English

Definition

The syntactic center of gravity that emerges
when fire, directed by intent, is placed into a word.

It is also the center of response shaped in relation to the Firebearer.

Explanation

The Core of the Word is recognized through multiple factors:
the Firebearer’s emotion, background, and placement of the word in the syntax—
as well as the internal meaning of each word.

Even within the same sentence,
readers may perceive different cores
depending on how they align with the Core of the Word.

Examples

The core of the word is the Firebearer’s silent declaration:
“This was the only word that could have been here.”

The place in the structure where the Firebearer’s fire burns most clearly—
that is the core of the word.
